Matsudono Tadafusa (松殿忠房)

Tadafusa MATSUDONO (松殿 忠房, 1193 - year of death unknown) was a Kugyo (high court noble) in the Kamakura period. He was the fourth son of Motofusa MATSUDONO. His mother was the daughter of FUJIWARA no Yukimasa. He had paternal brothers and sisters including Takatada, Iefusa, Moroie, Gyoi, Jitsuson, Ishi (a concubine of MINAMOTO no Yoshinaka and MINAMOTO no Michichika), Toshiko (a wife of Yoshitsune KUJO), a wife of Takayoshi ICHIJO, and a wife of FUJIWARA no Kinaki. He had children such as Yoshitsugu, Kanenori, and Kanetsugu. One of his concubines was the daughter of Yasuie JIMYOIN. Shonii (Senior Second Rank).

Brief Personal History

On February 18, 1207, he was appointed as Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank).

In 1212, he was promoted to Chunagon (Middle Counselor) (from 1212 to 1215).

In 1224, he was promoted to Dainagon (Major Counselor) (from 1224 to 1231).

On May 28, 1247, he entered the priesthood.

His year of death is unknown.
